Versed – Mood Lighting Luminizing Glow Drops – I can’t even explain the obsession I have with these drops. If you want to add a beautiful glow/sheen to your skin without it feeling makeup-y or heavy then I would definitely recommend these. These drops are pretty much a must use now in my skincare/makeup routine – even on days where I’m not wearing makeup I will put this under my sunscreen and it gives your skin that extra boost it needs. I use the shade sheer golden!
Saie – Glowy Super Gel Lightweight Dewy Highlighter – I put this glowy gel under primers because I mainly use it under or mixed in with my foundation – I really love the feeling on this on the skin, its super dewy, adds extra hydration but with a soft subtle natural glow. This highlighter is unlike any I have tried and I think that’s why I like it so much because of its unique formula. I just purchased the trail size just to try it out but it when I run out I will be repurchasing the full size. PS. I do also like it as a highlighter, just be careful when applying it over powders because it will lift your makeup if you aren’t careful with it.
DRMTLGY – Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 46 – Love affair. Lets just call it what it is – that’s what I had with this product in 2022. I very rarely wore foundation because I was obsessed with this tinted sunscreen. I have tried tinted sunscreens in the past and have liked them but not like this one – wow! This tinted sunscreen has a beautiful glowy sheen to it that makes the skin look stunning, it also doesn’t feel super thick and heavy on the skin which I appreciated. And unlike some sunscreens or tinted moisturizers I felt like it came off easily when washing my face at the end of the day. If you are looking for a tinted sunscreen that checks all the boxes I would definitely try out this one.
MERIT The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation and Concealer Stick– If you are a fan of minimal foundation or no makeup, makeup looks then this foundation/concealer stick may be something that you would want to try. I do feel like this is a love it or hate it product but I personally love this foundation stick. Its so quick and easy to use – I love the texture and creaminess and its super easy to work with and blend out. I also will put this on over foundation for extra coverage on blemishes and spots and it adds that additional coverage you need without looking cakey. I wear the shade camel. I love Merit overall and think they are coming out with some amazing products.
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation – If I chose to wear foundation it was this one! It’s a medium to buildable full coverage that again looks so natural on the skin. It reminds me a lot of the OG MAC Face and Body foundation but with less water and more coverage. It’s superlight weight and doesn’t feel heavy but still provides great coverage with a flawless finish. It doesn’t have SPF so its great for pictures, its also sweat proof and water resistant – I haven’t worn this in the Summer yet, but I think this will be my go to foundation for the warmer months! I wear the shade 2 Warm Olive. Tip: I like using a brush to apply this foundation and then going in with a beauty sponge to really blend and perfect the skin. Warning: it is scented and if you know me you know I’m not into fragrance in my skin care/makeup at ALL but it is very light (to me) and the smell does dissipate after application, it doesn’t linger.
E.L.F Flawless Brightening Concealer– Shall I say love affair again – this concealer, wow, wow, wow. I loved it! I personally don’t like to wear a ton of concealer especially under the eyes so I try to opt for more of a lightweight, minimal coverage concealer and this one stole the show for me. It is extremely beautiful on the skin, its hydrating, brightening and just looks flawless. For it being such an affordable concealer it performs high end. I’m extremally picky when it comes to concealer and I will typically go for high end over drugstore in this department but this concealer is it! I love the packaging, the clickable feature and the little pen tip applicator makes it super easy to apply.
Milk Makeup Matte Cream Bronzer Stick This bronzer was on my 2021 favorites and it carried over to 2022. It was really the only cream bronzers I stuck too! I love that it comes in stick form so its really easy to use. You can swipe it on the face quickly or you can pick up the product from the component with a brush and apply to the face that way. I love the bendability and it last so long on the skin. The shade “baked” is perfection -the perfect neutral bronzer that isn’t too warm or too cool and really does give the perfect sun-kissed look.
Revlon Skinlights Prismatic Powder Bronzer – this is my #1 bronzer, I have been using it pretty much exclusively since I discovered it a couple years or so ago. I typically go for bronzers that have a sheen to them that aren’t flat matte and this one is so nice – it’s not glittery by any means but gives the nicest glow skin like sunkissed finish to the skin. I also love that its sheer but buildable, so it doesn’t get all muddy looking on the skin. Even if you like matte bronzers I would still give this one a go to add as a sheen/topper! I wear the shade sunkissed beam.
Honest Beauty Crème Cheek + Lip Color – Not going to lie – just copied and pasted this from last year because perfection is all I can say, (again). This cream blush is my favorite and continues to hold the #1 spot for me. The consistency of the cream is perfect, not too emollient so its not super greasy or too slippy on the skin. It keeps its pigment all day too – no fading here! I can wear this ALL day long and it still looks like I just applied it. It doesn’t need to be set either. Tip: this blush is pigmented so a little bit goes A LONG way, use a very light hand when first learning how to use this product, I have always found that using a brush with this works best. I love all the shades but Coral Peach is my favorite, most used!
Jouer Blush Bouquet Adore Me – This blush duo is stunning. I love to mix both of these shades together and wear alone. The powder goes on super smoothly and they aren’t so pigmented where you can’t blend it out. Both of the shades are warm in tone and one being matte and one with shimmer. If you are looking to simply your blush collection or just need a one and done palette this is it, I feel like you could wear these shades with any makeup look. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder– If you’re in need of a pressed powder that makes your skin look flawless this powder is it. I love how it just glides on the skin, doesn’t enhance or accentuate texture and it minimized the look of pore size. I love to dust a tiny bit of this powder in my t-zone and to brighten under my bronzer. It’s such a nice powder!
Jouer Soft Focus Hydrate + Set Powder – I don’t think it would be a favorites without me mentioning this powder. If you need something that is really going to smooth and blur the skin but still look skin like this is the powder for you! I have been obsessed with it for years now! I will use this as all over finishing powder too. Its soo good – I wear the shade Light, I find that is runs a little on the deep side. L.A Girl Ultimate Eye Intense Wear Auto Eye Liner– I originally bought this eyeliner on a whim because I wanted a cream color liner and cream liners aren’t something that I use very often – so I didn’t want to spend a lot of $ on it, but these liners perform like high end. So creamy, long lasting and wears all day, I mean budge proof! I love the shades lasting brown and super bright! For $5 you can’t beat it! I will say that these liners a BUDGE proof, so if you want a a liner that is smudgeable for a smokey effect I would go with the Pixi – Endless Silky Eye Pen
MAKEUP BY MARIO Ethereal Eyes Eyeshadow Palette – Let me just say, you need this palette. It is stunning! This palette is so versatile, I love how you can achieve a very minimal natural look or super glam with just this. The shades blend, layer, and compliment each other so well and the glitter topers are truly ethereal and are unlike any others I’ve tried, they are NEXT level! I will say there is fallout in the palette but that isn’t something that bothers me. Its’ worth the hype. PS. Love you Mario 🙂
IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara– If you are super picky when it comes to mascaras like I am and you haven’t tried out this mascara you are missing out! I love how this mascara gives you a dramatic effect without looking like a clumpy mess. The wand coats every last giving the perfect amount of volume and length – doesn’t fake or smudge either and easy to get off! It’s pretty much perfect!
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm, vanilla – I wish that I would have discovered this lip balm sooner because OMG the way I’m obsessed with this lip product is crazy. I don’t know if I’ve ever loved a gloss/balm more. I cannot be without it – it’s so nice on the lips, moisturizing but not crazy sticky, gives a beautiful gloss/shine to the lip and lasts so long. I can’t wait to try more of the flavors but I love the clear, vanilla! Oh and the applicator, packaging is 2 thumbs up!
SEPHORA COLLECTION Lip Liner To Go. light brown – This is one of my go-to lip liners and one that I love to travel with because it comes in this cute little travel size. The shade, formula is amazing. This is the perfect your lips but better shade – or if you live to overline your lips it gives the perfect definition.
L.A Girl Perfect Precision Lip Liner, sugar and spice – I talked about all the lip liners from L.A Girl last year and well, again this is it was my favorite go to lip liner. This is my every single, single day lip liner that I use. Lasts so long on the lip, the shade is perfection and perfect to overline with and its SO freaking affordable. Try out the LA Girl lip liners you wont be disappointed.
NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP This Is Milky Gloss, milk it pink – This gloss really stole my heart last year, I think I’m on my 3rd or 4th repurchase of this gloss because its that good. It’s sheer in pigment but it gives the most glossy, milky sheen to the lips. These glosses are so pretty and comfortable to wear, highly recommend these! This gloss plus the LA Girl lip liner in Sugar and Spice is my everyday lip combo.
When I think about finishing products I definitely have to mention this setting spray because like all these products I’m obsessed with it. Just a forewarning this setting spray is extremely luminzing and you can over do it BUT it makes your skin look so freaking juicy, and plumped and amazing. There isn’t a setting spray that I have tried that gives your skin a glow like this one. As far as making my makeup last longer I don’t think it does that but wheww it makes it glow baby!
